Hello! My name is Kennedy, and I am passionate about supporting preteens, teens, and young adults who are navigating the unique opportunities and challenges that come with neurodivergence, particularly ADHD.
As someone who was diagnosed with ADHD later in life, I understand the frustration of wanting to accomplish goals, manage responsibilities, and complete daily tasks, yet feeling frozen and unsure where to begin. I know what it’s like to have a clear understanding of what needs to be done but struggle to find the motivation to get started. I often wondered how others seemed able to begin and complete tasks with ease while I needed twice as much time and effort. I also experienced the pressure of trying to meet expectations that weren’t always aligned with how my brain worked.
Receiving my ADHD diagnosis at 19 became a turning point. It allowed me to better understand myself, develop personalized strategies for navigating daily life, and build coping skills to manage the emotions that arise when the demands of the world don’t always fit my natural way of functioning.
As I progressed in my career, I began working with teens and young adults who face similar challenges. I specialize in helping young people bridge the gap between intention and action. Many of the clients I work with have big ideas, goals, and aspirations but struggle with executive functioning skills such as organization, planning, task initiation, time management, and follow-through. Together, we identify barriers, develop personalized tools and strategies, and create systems that make daily life feel more manageable, successful, and empowering.
I believe therapy should be a space where clients feel understood, accepted, and capable. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or challenges, I help clients recognize their strengths, build self-confidence, and develop practical skills that support academic, social, emotional, and personal growth. My goal is to help young people move from feeling stuck in their thoughts to taking meaningful action toward the life they want to create.
I also work closely with parents of children and teens with ADHD, helping them navigate day-to-day interactions, strengthen communication, reduce conflict, and foster more positive and supportive relationships at home.
Kennedy is in network with Blue Cross and Aetna insurance.
