She / Her
Hello and welcome! My name is Tessa and I am super excited to “meet” you!
As a mother of six, I understand first-hand how challenging and overwhelming parenting can be. I have had the hard conversations, I have felt the deep sense of uncertainty, and I have been through those difficult moments where I was just trying to figure out what’s best for my family. I believe there is so much value in all of the messy, complicated, everyday REAL LIFE experiences that shape us, and I am here to provide space and support to help you make sense of it all.
I work with adults of all ages and I especially enjoy supporting parents who are currently “in the thick of it.” Most of my clients are navigating family conflicts, moving through challenging life transitions, or walking an unexpected path that frequently comes along with parenting!
If you find yourself struggling to connect with your child, whether due to differences in identity, values, or life perspectives, I’m here to help you bridge that gap in a way that feels supportive and respectful.
I also love working with parents who are adjusting to their child receiving a new diagnosis (Autism, ADHD, or other neurodivergence) and are unsure how to move forward. Together we can create space for understanding, processing, and finding a sense of peace in a journey you may not have expected.
For those navigating high-conflict coparenting relationships, I offer support in managing those dynamics and building healthier ways to move forward.
My work is deeply informed by both my professional training and my lived experiences. I was raised in the system, which allows me to understand a child’s perspective in a very real way. I also walked through the challenges of blending families and managing high-conflict parenting situations.
These experiences shape how I show up, with empathy, honesty, and without judgment. I truly believe that even in the midst of chaos growth and healing are possible, and I am here so you don’t have to figure it out on your own.
I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Liberty University and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA). My professional background includes working within the Department of Social services (DSS) where I supported individuals and families navigating complex high-stress situations including crisis, family conflict, and systems involvement.
I utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, while also incorporating trauma-informed and family systems perspectives.
My approach is grounded in meeting you exactly where you are and helping you build practical and meaningful long-term change in your life.
