She/HER

Hi, Im Molly (she/her), and I am so glad you are here!

I am a queer, neurodivergent therapist based in Asheville, NC. I work primarily with teens and young adults. With me, you are allowed to be human while still holding space for the hard, heavy, and painful parts of your experiences. That means there’s room for awkward moments, laughing at ourselves, or not having the right words.

Growth can happen in seriousness, but it also happens in those real, unfiltered moments.

I tend to work best with people who live in their heads. If you overthink everything, hold yourself to high standards, people-please, or process life by talking it out, you’re in the right place.

I have a particular interest in working with those navigating identity, attachment wounds, or big life transitions and feeling unsure of who they are or how to move forward. I support clients experiencing anxiety, ADHD, trauma-related symptoms, low-acuity OCD, and gender dysphoria.

In our work together, we focus on building self-trust, loosening perfectionism through learning the art of making mistakes, understanding patterns, feeling emotions (not just thinking about them), and responding with curiosity instead of criticism.

My approach is person-centered, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I tailor sessions to each individual, drawing from CBT, DBT skills, somatic work, parts work, and creative expression. Sessions include authentic dialogue, skill-building, and psychoeducation to better understand the “why” behind your experiences.

My philosophies:

Therapy can be fun! Healing can look like laughing, crying, or both at the same time…there’s room for all of it here.

There is no expectation to be light or positive! Every emotion is welcome and supported in this space.

The art of making mistakes: Growth happens when we stop trying to get everything “right” and start learning how to be human…messy, imperfect, and still okay. Making mistakes helps build tolerance for uncertainty, navigate feelings like embarrassment or failure, and develop humility, adaptability, and self-compassion.

Outside of sessions, I enjoy painting, hiking, crafting, dancing like no one is watching, and spending time with my cat, Suki. I was born and raised in NJ and lived in many different areas across the country (and a few outside of the country) before planting myself in beautiful Asheville, NC.

I earned my Master of Social Work from East Carolina University and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) in North Carolina. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Sociology from the University of Colorado. My clinical background includes experience within outpatient therapy, intensive in-home services, psychosocial rehabilitation, and equine-assisted therapy.

If you’re looking for a space where you can be real, figure yourself out, and maybe laugh along the way, I’d love to work with you.

Reaching out for therapy takes a lot of courage, and I am so glad that you are taking this step to care of yourself!
