Jenna Tucker
Clinical Intern
She / Her / Hers
Hello and welcome!
My name is Jenna I love helping children learn and grow so they will be better equipped to face the many challenges that life will throw their way!
My goal is to show children empathy, kindness, and support as they learn more about themselves and the world around them, and as they begin to carve out their own paths.
I also love supporting parents of young children as they navigate the (oftentimes murky) waters of parenting.
If you are a parent that asks yourself questions like, “Am I doing enough?” or “Am I doing it the right way?” … please know that you ARE enough for you child and there is no perfect way to parent!
I am a second year Clinical Intern, which means that I am in the final year of my graduate program to become a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor.
I bring 10 years of experience in Early Childhood Education along with me into my clinical work.
I have an undergraduate degree in history from Western Carolina University and I am currently in a Masters program at Walden University.
During my graduate studies, I have specialized in working with children and adolescents through the use of play therapy. Play therapy is a wonderful tool that can allow humans of all ages to open up and express themselves in a way that is less pressured.
Outside of therapy, you will likely find me at home with a good book, walking my dog, or spending time with my friends and partner in our small town.
It is so wonderful to “meet” you and I am excited to support your child and your family!
*** Jenna works with children ages 3-12 and adolescents. She offers sessions on a sliding scale with fees ranging from $10-$50 per session. ***
